On April 15-20, Namangan hosted the meeting of the Government delegations of Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan in the Joint Demarcation Commission, reports "Dunyo" IA.

During the meeting, issues of demarcation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border were discussed. Field surveys were carried out, during which the tasks for moving the delimitation line of the interstate border to the area were clarified.

The negotiations took place in an atmosphere of friendship and mutual understanding.

Following the event, a corresponding Protocol was signed.

The next meeting of the working groups will take place in Kyrgyzstan.

It is worth recalling that the previous meeting of the working groups was held on March 4-8 in the Kyrgyz city of Osh. The meeting encompassed an appraisal of the 2023 activities and endorsement of the 2024 meeting itinerary. Key topics of discussion included the delimitation of the Uzbek-Kyrgyz State border, formulation of demarcation maps, and establishment of a specialized geodetic network.
