Yesterday, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan Bakhtiyor Saidov met with the Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

"Delighted to announce that Uzbekistan and Qatar have taken a momentous step by elevating bilateral relations to the status of a strategic partnership, – the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Uzbekistan wrote in his telegram channel. – Today in Tashkent together with H.E. Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani, the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar signed the Agreement on the Establishment of Bilateral Strategic Partnership relations".

It is worth recalling that on April 15, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev received the delegation of Qatar led by the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani.

The delegation of Qatar arrived in our country to participate in the next Meeting of Foreign Ministers of the "Central Asia – Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf" Dialogue.
