The Permanent Representative of Uzbekistan to the UN Office and other international organizations in Geneva, Eldiyor Toshmatov, met with the Executive Secretary of the UN Economic Commission for Europe (ECE), Tatyana Molchan, a Dunyo news agency correspondent reports.

The UNECE Executive Secretary was provided with detailed information on the ongoing reforms in the republic in various areas.

Tatyana Molchan highly appreciated the country’s achievements in the economic sphere in recent years, as well as the strengthening of bilateral cooperation. “I highly appreciate the very close interaction between the EEC and Uzbekistan, which covers such areas as the development of trade, innovation, energy, ecology, and statistics,” emphasized the EEC Executive Secretary.

She reaffirmed the commission's commitment to support Uzbekistan in all areas of its mandate.

Tatyana Molchan said that she is looking forward to participating in the III Tashkent International Investment Forum, which will be held on May 2-3, 2024, and plans to hold a number of meetings in the ministries and departments of the republic during the visit to further develop bilateral cooperation.
